Electric vehicles have become one of the main development directions of major automobile enterprises, and the growth rate of electric vehicles in the domestic market is also very obvious. Data from China Automobile Association shows that from January to October this year, the cumulative wholesale volume of domestic new energy is about 780,000, with a year-on-year growth rate of -6%.In October, the wholesale volume of new energy passenger vehicles exceeded 144,000, up 15.9 percent from the previous month.
In The European market, the new energy market has also seen explosive growth.Data show that from January to October 2020, the cumulative sales volume of electric vehicles in Europe is about 920,000, with a year-on-year growth of 115%.Many institutions predict that the sales volume of new energy vehicles in Europe will exceed 110,000 in 2020, with a year-on-year growth of more than 100%.
The future of the domestic and European car markets is something many car companies are looking forward to.While new energy vehicles are favored, there are still many consumers who are afraid of new energy vehicles, mainly because of the mileage concern.
Endurance is an inescapable problem for new energy vehicles
Battery is the most important part of new-energy vehicles. The battery capacity determines the range of electric vehicles. At present, the range of pure electric vehicles can be about 400 kilometers under working conditions, and some models can travel more than 600 kilometers under working conditions. But you can't actually get to the mileage.
According to the power consumption experiments of different vehicle types, such as A00, A0, A, B, C, etc., the average power consumption of 100km in the 30-80km /h travel speed segment is 15kWh/100km, and that of > in the 0-30km /h travel speed segment. In the 80km/h speed segment, the average power consumption of 100km is 20kWh/100km and 19kWh/100km respectively. It can be seen that the speed range of new-energy vehicles with a speed of 30~80km/h is a good economic driving range.
The disadvantages of electric vehicles running at high speeds are even more obvious. Theoretically, when the vehicle is running at a high speed, taking 120km/h as an example, the power needed to overcome air resistance to do work is theoretically 8 times that of 60km/h.In order to overcome the wind resistance, the motor needs to provide more power, which increases the power consumption. Meanwhile, in order to reach the speed of 120km/h, the motor also needs more current support. So at high speeds the actual mileage is going to be extremely low.
Therefore, the driving range of pure electric vehicles will be one of the important factors restricting the sales of new energy vehicles in the future.
Battery safety and reliability
The development momentum of new energy vehicles is unstoppable. But then there are concerns about its safety. For a long time, the fire of new energy vehicles has been the topic of conversation, because every once in a while, you can see the fire of a certain brand of cars on the Internet, the fire is fierce, let a person shocked.
On the night of October 27, a car "exploded while it was parked in place and in an uncharged state". The explosion was so powerful that many residents around felt the strong earthquake.Afterwards, the response said that the quality of the spontaneous combustion system power battery was caused by reason, and the recall mechanism was activated, totaling 1282 units.
Several spontaneous combustion incidents occurred in Shanghai and Wuhan from April to June 2019.In June, 4,803 ES8 electric vehicles were recalled for battery safety reasons.A Tesla Model S burns and explodes in a basement in Shanghai on April 21, 2019, destroying itself and damaging cars around it.
According to the number of newly built car accidents disclosed so far, 14 of the 24 accidents since the beginning of 2019 have been related to spontaneous combustion.Sun Fengchun, an academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, said at the Global Smart Mobility Conference that the probability of a fire on a new energy vehicle in China in 2019 is 0.49 per 10,000 and that in 2020 it will be 0.26 per 10,000.
The battery safety of new energy vehicles needs to be improved. Batteries used in some new energy vehicles often have problems. According to the owners of Baojun E100, the Battery of Baojun E100 purchased in 2018 cannot be charged in winter, and the charging function is restored after the room temperature exceeds 10 degrees, which is very bad for the use experience. The safety performance and usability of the battery are the most important things that the automobile enterprises need to improve.
