At present, the amount of China's lithium ion battery industry exports to major countries or regions keeps growing.In 2019, 21 countries and regions in China exported lithium-ion batteries worth more than us $100 million, an increase of 6 over 2018.In 2019, among the top 20 li-ion battery exporting countries and regions in Mainland China, only Hong Kong and Vietnam saw year-on-year decline in the amount of export, while the amount of export to other countries and regions increased to different degrees.Among them, the amount of export to Germany was us $1.21 billion, with a year-on-year increase of US $480 million, ranking first among all countries and regions with a year-on-year growth rate of 65.7%, ranking three higher and entering the top three for the first time.Exports to the United States totaled us $1.87 billion, an increase of US $430 million over 2018, second only to Germany, which continues to be the second largest exporter and keeps closing the gap with Hong Kong of China.The year-on-year growth of exports to Slovakia is the highest among the top 20 countries and regions. In 2019, the export amount was usd 170 million, with a year-on-year growth of more than 2700%, jumping 50 places to the 13th place.Exports to Poland and Spain both moved up 8 places, with exports to Poland reaching 290 million US dollars, an increase of more than 200%, and exports to Spain 130 million US dollars, an increase of more than 100%.
According to the General Administration of Customs, In 2019, China exported 2.09 billion lithium ion batteries, exceeding 2 billion for the first time, with a year-on-year growth of 7.7%.The value of exports reached 13.03 billion US dollars, up 20.3% year on year, continuing the trend of rapid growth and dropping 15.4 percentage points from the previous year.The average export unit price continues to rise. In 2019, the export unit price of lithium ion batteries in China reached 6.2 US dollars per battery, an increase of 10.7% compared with 5.6 US dollars per battery in 2018.
Meanwhile, China imported only 1.44 billion lithium ion batteries in 2019, down 12.7 percent from 2018 and 11 percentage points from the previous year.Imports of us $3.73 billion, down 4.1% year on year and down again after a slight increase in 2018.The average import unit price of lithium ion battery in China is rising steadily. In 2019, the average import unit price of lithium ion battery in China is 2.6 US dollars per unit, which is only a slight increase of 8.3% compared with 2.4 US dollars per unit in 2018.
