Toshiba has announced the development of a new lithium-ion battery that is less flammable and more secure.Lithium-ion batteries, which have had combustible electrolyte issues in the past, use an electrolyte free.The batteries are easy to install in previously difficult neighborhoods and office buildings.By using an electrolyte that does not freeze at low temperatures, it can be used even at minus 30 degrees Celsius.As a storage battery for renewable energy such as solar energy, we aim to make it practical by the 2020s.
